  • Water & Sewer Department

    The City of Metter Water and Sewer Department is responsible for the administration, control and operation of the water system, sewer system and the wastewater treatment plant. The City uses a Land Application System (LAS). The City of Metter’s wastewater treatment plant has a treatment capacity of 1 million gallons per day.

    The City of Metter operates two groundwater wells and has two above-ground storage tanks with a total reserve capacity of 750,000 gallons. The city is permitted to pump 1.2 million gallons per day. The City currently has 2,400 utility billing customers.
