PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING

CITY OF METTER

The City of Metter Planning Commission, at its meeting on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, at 5:15 p.m. at Metter City Hall, located at 49 South Rountree Street, Metter, GA will meet for an advisory review, and will consider a Re-Zoning Amendment of property located at the intersection of W. Hiawatha Street and Fortner Road. From R-4 (Multi-Family Residential) to a Residential Planned Unit Development (PUD) for a proposed Metter Green Subdivision for around 74 single family homes. The properties that will be affected by this Re-zoning are bounded on the East by Fortner Road, on the North by West Hiawatha Street, on the West by Leslie Street and South by property owned by the Candler County Industrial Authority. A map of properties proposed for re-zoning is located at City Hall for review. 

The purpose of this meeting is to hear public comments for and/or against to Re-Zone this property from R-4 (Multi-Family Residential) to a Residential Planned Unit Development (PUD) for the proposed Metter Green Subdivision.   

Ample opportunity to be heard will be given to any citizen and all parties who are interested in attending the hearing.

All meetings will be at Metter City Hall, 49 South Rountree Street, Metter Georgia.
