24-year veteran Public Works Director Cliff Hendrix is retiring effective the end of November. The City is indebted to Cliff for all the work and leadership he has been responsible for during his tenure as Public Works Director. I have a schedule showing the projects and cost from 2002 including ongoing projects that equal just shy of 22 million dollars. That number is not adjusted for todays dollar value. At the same time we say thank you to Cliff, we welcome James McCray to the Public Works Directors position and know he is going to do a great job leading the troops forward.
