We are pleased to announce that Mayor Rashida Taylor, District 1 Councilmember Tara Jeffers, and District 2 Councilmember Gregory Thomas were officially sworn into office on December 30th by Candler County Probate Judge Tony Thompson.
Mayor Taylor embarks on her first term in this new role, having previously served two terms as a city Councilmember. Councilmember Jeffers is beginning her first term in office, while Councilmember Thomas returns to the city council after previously serving from 2002 to 2017.
The City’s elected officials serve staggered four-year terms, and the terms of these newly sworn officials will extend through January 2030.
