Beginning Wednesday, August 5, Vertia Street will be closed for approximately three days from S. Lewis Street to S. Rountree Street to allow for the installation of a larger drainage pipe that will serve the Metter Fire Department.
To maintain access for postal services, the road will be closed from S. Lewis Street to the entrance of the Post Office, allowing mail trucks to safely enter and exit the facility.
A “Closed to Through Traffic” sign will be posted at S. Rountree Street to notify motorists of the closure.
Please use alternate routes, expect minor delays, and use caution when traveling in the area. We appreciate your patience and understanding as this important infrastructure improvement is completed.
